107e spares

Hi all, I’ve just joined the club mainly for a source of parts and information for my 107e Prefect.
Having looked at the spares list on this site for 107e I can only find 2 listed, I know the mechanical parts are interchangeable with the 105e but am I missing something in my search for body and trim parts.
In anticipation ?

The problem you have is that the 107E is an amalgam of two cars: the 100E and 105E. The drive train is from the 105E; most brake and some steering parts are from the both while body and trim are from the 100E. For full coverage, you need to be a member of two clubs: this one and the Ford Sidevalve Owners Club – http://www.fsoc.co.uk.

Expensive, but there it is.

Does the 107E have the 105E firewall, and can you stick a 2000E straight in with little mods?

It has its own bulkhead but it and the gearbox tunnel are made to take the four-speed gearbox. I think that dimensionally other than length, the 2000E box is the same so would go in, subject to a shorter propeller shaft. But didn’t some 2000E boxes have different mountings?

Early and late depending on the tail shaft.

I believe that, other than size, the 2000E box is identical and could fit within, provided the propeller shaft was shorter.

The 1200 box is the one that pre dates the 2000E, size wise it’s very close but you can stick 2000E internals into a 1200 with small mods. Should work but regarding prop size, maybe a 1200 one would work?

Sorry, but it wouldn’t. The 107E wheelbase is, from memory,3.5 inches shorter than the the 105E, so it has a unique propshaft. There is nothing available from anywhere else to fit without shortening the shaft.
