Have just received new pump by courier and am now thinking if ive have the correct one (FP201A) as the list alternative FP200A, my vehicle is standard 997 cc.
Also the gasket seems to partially cover the oil ways, although in my haynes manual the type they illustrate seems to be the same?
Any feedback would be welcome please.
Hi Chris ,
there is a good picture of the club Gasket in the spares section .
Oil Pump to Engine Block Gasket
and here is a photo of the engine block holes.. https://imgur.com/DBnpfUu
Can’t comment on the model numbers
Hope that helps.
Remember to oil the oil pump impeller well before fitting it, so its sucks from the get go.
201 is the high capacity type normally used in race engines with oil coolers etc. Both types they are advertising say 65 psi. Should be fine with the one you have. Definitely fill it with a little oil before fitting and fill the filter as well.
