This car was first registered in April 1966 and I have recently inherited it from my Uncle who owned it from 1968 or 69. It has been maintained in working order thoughout his ownership and the MOT only expired in May 2010. I have no reason to doubt the mileage (about 71,000) as this Anglia was mainly used on the annual holiday and very little else. Throughout my Uncle’s ownership it has been kept in a garage. The engine ran quite happily when I started her up in April, but she has sat in this garage for about 12 months and the battery has gone flat. This is the reason for the limited photos as there is an incline outside the garage.
The car is totally original and I would say in good condition for her age. There are some scratches which have been touched in, the metal strip along the outside is lose in some sections and there is a dent in the front bumper. The paint seems to have faded on the engine bonnet only. It would be a simple task to get her running again but a little more work would be required if you want a spotless exterior. If you would like any more information do give Brian a call and I will do my best to provide further details. My number is 07941 258069.
The buyer must collect from South Herts and I am looking for £550.
