Just had a look on the club spares, and I thought they used to supply a complete sill (all three together) to weld in, in one go. I cannot find them, are they still available?

Always been 3 separate sections as far as I’m aware.

The 3 sections were always sold separately, each section needs welding one at a time for the strength and fitment to your unique car.

If the separate bits are not showing as in stock, then we don’t have any and won’t be re-stocking – we have instead secured a discount for you to order directly from Expressed Steel Panels, which was the cheapest way we can offer panels to you.

Also  i have seen  http://www.thepopshop.org.uk/Pages/ANGLIA%20STEEL%20BIG%20PICS%20page.html    offer a  cheaper outer sill, but without the step at the front, i think ? ,  Quoting approx 10 days delivery alot faster than Express .  Does anyone have experience of  this supplier?

Let’s be honest, anyone’s delivery is faster that ex pressed, they don’t keep anything on the shelf… Pop Shop is a guy called Ronnie Carrot, do like him he’s very helpful, most of his 105e panels come from Team Deville (he’s stocking less, has his stores all over), but I reckon his sills come from somewhere else. I have outer sills, they came from 5 star car panels on eBay, they are pretty good, but they don’t appear to make any other panels. Has anyone had any dealings with Radford panels?

I think to say “anyones delivery is faster than Expressed” just isn’t strictly true. Certain panels are available off the shelf but granted others are not.

Its always best to ring them and ask for a delivery time….you certainly won’t find better quality panels that fit from anyone else

I have known them, though, give a delivery date six weeks ahead, and then the stuff turns up at the weekend! This was several years ago, though; I don’t know the current situation.

Current situation is usually 2-3 months, and I don’t dispute the fact that they are good. Their delivery times and schedules are awful, but usually worth it. I’ve had several dealings with them, you would struggle to find better, if only they did bigger runs of parts…..

If you knew the set up, then you’d know why unless they’re on the shelf, you have to wait.  They quoted me 3 months for a particular Corsair panel but I got it in 4 weeks.

Its not like we’re talking MG or mini stuff here or even Escort stuff if you like, where you can more or less be guaranteed to sell the stuff within a few weeks. Mainly due to there being thousands of the things still on the roads and under restoration.

Expressed have always quoted long lead times, but often do deliver sooner from what I’ve heard. It depends on what they’ve been making recently as to whether there’s some sat on the shelf or not.

The time and money spent to fit an Expressed panel (especially if you’re paying someone else to do it), compared to panels from others, actually often makes the Expressed panels much cheaper overall – they’re generally a of higher quality and tolerance which makes fitting and getting it looking both good and right a quicker task.
